Welcome

So glad you are here!  Whether it is because, you are interested in a vegetarian diet, want your family to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diets, or just want to snoop around ( don’t worry, you are welcome too), I am happy you did!  We are so lucky to have such beautiful and colorful foods at your fingertips, so we should be taking advantage, and using them at every chance we get.  A vegetarian diet does not need to be boring and bland…it should be fun, colorful, and taste good too!  On this site, we like to cook simple, flavorful dishes for busy people who just don’t have the time to “Martha Stewart” everything with a cute apron on whipping up an 8 course meal in an hour.  I am a mom…a busy mom…a mom who wants her family to eat healthy, and still like me at the end of the day.  I don’t want to force my kids to eat their veggies, they should want to eat them!  (Isn’t that the dream of every mom?!)  I will make my recipes short, sweet, ( or salty ) and to the point.  You should have more time with the fam, and less time in the kitch..amirite?!  I like to have my kids help out too..nothing comes for free kids, you need to help!  

Not everything on this site will be super healthy, because after all…we all like to treat ourselves right?  I do once in a while, okay… once a week, ok.. daily.  I like to add a little more sugar, or cheese or chocolate, and there is nothing wrong with that. Food has to be fun and enjoyable too, or else it will seem like a chore.  In the words of Kathy Griffin, “My thighs say..I take a bite outta life”!  Seriously, my favorite quote of all time.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do, and have fun making them! – jamie xo
